HitchBOT: Hitchhiking Robot That Toured Canada and Europe Destroyed in Philadelphia
The robot began its U.S. adventure in Massachusetts on July 17, and was documented in New York City and Boston. A photo of what is said to be the destroyed robot was posted to Twitter on Saturday.
More than 3,000 miles across Canada, many kilometers across several European nations and only 300 miles in the US before the robot was destroyed.

Panama Reduce Ship Size for Canal
Due to drought conditions in Panama resulting in low lake levels, full draft (Panamax) ships are being restricted starting September 8th (allowing ships currently en route to still go through the canal) with additional restrictions coming on September 16th if conditions have not improved by that time.
