Does anyone know off-hand if you can schedule tasks in a FiOS router? I believe you can but I won't know for sure until I get another look at it.

        Thanks,

If you would have just posted this, no one would argue TOS with you.

Please don't even bring it up. The point of the comment was I didn't want it to even be brought up.

Yeah. I've used something similar to this before, but never as a cronjob or scheduled task. I can set this up on my Linux servers and it'll work quite well.

It could be AT&T controlling your connection either from ya'll using too much data from a home connection or hosting stuff.

wondering if over the course of a few days if the cache gets overloaded, and then the router is online, but it can't process any traffic.

                        What Cache?

I don't know, I've heard this complaint from a lot of people on FiOS. It just seems they are using a really terrible router/modem combo thing.

A lot of crappy routers cannot handle the simultaneous connection load of torrents over days and need to be rebooted to clear their connection cache.

You could always call AT&T and ask them why there connection doesn't work well when you illegally download torrents. Also could ask them why sharing connections between two people isn't working well. They'll be glad to set you up with another account or even a businesses connection. Heck since its FiOS they probably have a way of doing two connections over a single fiber drop .

Why does torrenting have to be illegal? Just answer the question, not an answer in relation to AJ.

                                        Notes:

                                        1. FiOS is Verizon not AT&T.
                                        2. Crappy routers have nothing to do with the carrier.

That's what I thought. But, He's said they had an AT&T connection before.

You can't expect something to work properly when you are using it in many was outside of the TOS and you don't legally have access to the router either.
