 Pretty good deal on an SSD at newegg $189 when you use promo code EMCAPKT23 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-148-821 This one is pretty interesting too. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820510033 When did 512GB start getting so much cheaper.

 Holy crap that's a good price. I like Crucial and have a 120GB drive of theirs in my gaming rig.

 I just picked up a 250GB Samsung that was on sale on Amazon for $100, for my work laptop. There's some great deals out there and SSD prices are dropping way faster than I expected.

Funny, there are right about where I expected them to be. I expect 512's to be be around $100-140 by xmas 2015.

I expect 512's to be be around $100-140 by xmas 2015. They are actually getting much cheaper faster than I thought they would. I bought a SanDisk 250GB not too long for over $300. and it is still at that price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820171568 The SanDisk one is marketed as the higher end extreme one but the crucial 512GB comes very close in advertised speeds. I'd be interested to compare them.

 @Nic , I put a 240GB EVO in my computer too!

 The same thing happens to processors. New generations come out faster and cheaper, but the older ones rarely seem to drop in price.
