Holy crap that's a good price. I like Crucial and have a 120GB drive of theirs in my gaming rig.

I know right. I wish I had the extra cash right now to pick one up.

I just picked up a 250GB Samsung that was on sale on Amazon for $100, for my work laptop. There's some great deals out there and SSD prices are dropping way faster than I expected.

Funny, there are right about where I expected them to be. I expect 512's to be be around $100-140 by xmas 2015.

They are actually getting much cheaper faster than I thought they would. I bought a SanDisk 250GB not too long for over $300. and it is still at that price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820171568

The SanDisk one is marketed as the higher end extreme one but the crucial 512GB comes very close in advertised speeds. I'd be interested to compare them.

The same thing happens to processors. New generations come out faster and cheaper, but the older ones rarely seem to drop in price.
