Magnetic Personality?

My sister has this issue. Every electronic she touches reacts poorly. She has been through two tablets, a laptop, a TV, and a cell phone in the past year. I have no explanation other then she is unlucky and got bad products.

Yes I have seen this more than once. Some people just have a hard time touching anything. I know someone who can't wear any kind of watch due to that.

Yep...seen it too..,.a client with the same issue, finally has a PC that has lasted longer because it sits further way from the user and she doesn't need to touch it often.

For a tablet or watch yes. For a computer no. They need to be using a wireless mouse and keyboard. Those are cheaper to replace as they kill them and will keep the actual machine isolated from them touching them too often.

For a cell phone it should go in a life proof case. @art_of_shred had the same issue with his phone (didn't break it but had horrible service). Once we protected the phone from direct contact it worked fine.

I have heard of people like this who emit minute electrical or something signals that screws up electronics in totally random ways. It's rare but I've also seen it.

I had this problem as a child with digital watches, and I have an employee here that caused the same kinds of problems to her desk phone and computer.
This can definitely happen.

Is your friend my sister? She's probally went through 4 or 5 iPhones this year. Dropped one in the lake. She Just her out of warranty macbook with a new one. And she got the older model they were still selling at BestBuy. The DVD Drive is already going bad and the screen is having issues.
The other thing I'd say is she using thridpart adapters for either the macbook or the iPhone? this didn't used to be a big deal but with SMPSes and metal housing on electronics it's a bigger deal. Most of those third party ones have some major issues. Heck even using the ungrounded macbook plug it's not usual to see 60volts of potential (low amperage) between the chassis of the laptop and the AC Ground. This is due to the voltage leakage in an SMPS.

Similar things with the Surface Pro happen to. A lot of people who are sensitive will feel a slight tingle when using plugged in metal devices electronics but not know what it is. Even the old Macbook Pro back before the unibody did this. Some people think using a metal housed (ungrounded) device while charging may causes damage to the device.
