We had 900 pieces of candy and were left with less than 1 bag. Ran out of the 200 glow bracelets I had purchased in about 2 hours. The Pumpkin People are popular.

Also I think someone asked about the tax thing - yes, we are covered as far as not having to pay the penalty tax. HCSN are allowed under ACA. We have a tax form that we will submit at tax time.

I'm curious to see how it turns out the first time you have a need - will the checks start pouring in?
From my understanding of the program, when your need is submitted it is then published the following month to a set amount of people who are assigned to your need. They are then to send their check to you, the recipient with the need.

Also not thrilled with a set of strangers having my access (so they can send the funds).
Maybe? But then again I've been pretty successful in the past at finding out anyone's address I needed by googling enough. I did hunt down Nick's birth father through the internet, after all.

As the recipient of the need, you are sent a checklist of the households assigned to your need. As you receive those checks, you are to mark your list and report to the office any who do not send their funds in the allotted amount of time. So there is a system of checks and balances.

@scottalanmiller Yes..so far everything about having started school is not fantastic, although my daughter loves it. I'm still not adjusted to getting up at 6 am every day. I know.. I know..lazy SAHM problems.

Nooooooo. Sadly, I have to be responsible and stay home with the kiddo, who started kindergarten this year. Didn't want to have to ask the in-laws to get up unnecessarily early to have her at school on time, blah blah blah. I'm bummed...but whatevs.

ok, so I was going to post this about a week ago from my phone, but this website is NOT phone friendly ad despite having it all typed out I never could find a Submit button anywhere, multiple browsers. ANYWAY...not the point of my post but a small side rant...

So I have a friend who has problems with all of her electronics. She's been through 2 Fitbits, her cell phones are always doing wacky things and changing settings without her doing it, and she's on her 4th or 5th Macbook. Even her iPad has started acting up, and I'm beginning to believe that it's HER, like, physically her make-up, that is causing her problems. Is that possible? Has anyone had any experience like that? It's almost like her electronics react to something in her body.

This freaking dress changes colors for me every time I look at it. It didn't at first, and now, every time, different color.
