Introducing QDesk
-
Hi, everyone. Just thought I'd mention QDesk, which is the new help desk system in development by our startup company, Quixotic Software. It will be hosted and free (ad supported) for all users.
Things are still in the very early stages, but we'd like to know what you, the IT community, look for in help desk software. Or maybe share what other support ticket software you've used, and what you liked or didn't like about it.
Thanks!

Can you post some links for us lazy people?

Nothing public to show yet, maybe as some progress is made Andy's team can post some screenshots of what is coming.

a Self hosted opion would be great too. for those that may get confidential information or compliance issues within ticket details.

Yea,.. If you can add that feature,.. that would be Gerreat......

It is rather unlikely that we will be able to consider a self-hosting option. The nature of SaaS application development does not lend itself to self installation. It would require rather an extensive bit of experience to get working and would still require a whole packaging infrastructure to support.
