Nothing is my choice. Right now it is simply buy what someone has in stock.

Agreed - With international shortages of just about everything - you are likely best to pick what works and you can find, else you are waiting and even then aren't guaranteed to get it.
Mostly just US shortages.

AP's, Barcode Scanners amd others -
Used HP procurve from ebay... if it dies they have a lifetime warranty
You can usually pick up something like a 2530 24G for not too much.

Depends on your use-case and budget though.
I miss working on the Procurve line. (2600 & 5400 series). That was the core of my network for 7 of my 10 years at my last job.
