Ubuntu 18.04 Gnome - unstable asf

To test if it is something with Gnome, try a different desktop environment like KDE? That way you don't have to completely wipe and start over.

Yeah. I just reinstalled gnome. Let's see what happens. I do actually like gnome and would hate to change up.

Anything show up in the logs when it happens?

Update to 19.10. Has been stable and good for us. Also 19.04 was trouble free.

Nope. and yes @dbeato I have to use LTS as there are some things not supported on 19.10.
I havent had any issues since reinstalling
gnome
which I should have done earlier. It's been an issue the past month or two on a daily basis, but has gotten worse. Hopefully a reinstall fixed it. We shall see. -

Things not being supported, doesn't mean they won't install and 'just work'.

Same here, zero stability issues on 19.10. Gnome 3 here, as well. Default desktop.

I don't know what a non-LTS use for it would be. Accidental use, I suppose, lol.

Obvious you know better. But having a green will make someone assume to choose that one.
Clicking on Ubuntu Desktop will show Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS first.

And that's a regular complaint that I have always had about it. But that "installing by accident" doesn't apply to IRJ, or really anyone here. Random users, sure.
