A VGA port on a laptop today would be considered a special use case scenario, so your surprise at not having a VGA port on the laptop is what is shocking.
I know you're still learning, but this is a bit insane. Tell your boss you want to consolidate to just the laptop.
You can use the converter if you wanted but at this point I'd literally just use the laptop and fuck everything else that this employer has you use. Clearly they think business is a joke.

these PC's came from inventory - as they were supposed to be sold to a customer.For "My" clarity and sanity, are they dedicated POS (no pun intended) systems that you sell?
we Sell Dedicated POS - Yes.
The PC's come from the vendor, we image them and then add the Terminals.
