FreePBX - 15 Minute Disconnection
-
We have a FreePBX system connected to flowroute. Once in a while, someone gets disconnected at exactly 15 minutes. Anyone seen this before?
-
I should mention, it's not all calls - just some of them, which has me even more puzzled.
-
Tips:
- Make sure your firewall is not killing the open UDP port. We see this a lot. Especially if the users are working from home.
- Lower your SIP Registration and NAT Keepalive (or enable the NAT Keepalive if its disabled)
- Insure you have NAT = Yes in the extension settings
- Wait for @JaredBusch - he'll probably know what the issue is
-
@Skyetel Thanks! Does the fact that it is exactly 15 minutes give any clues?
-
what does Flowroute say?
also, what kind of Firewall?is FreePBX locally hosted or cloud hosted?

Not much. They keep wanting more examples, but it happens at random, so hard to do that.
also, what kind of Firewall?
Cisco ASA 5505
is FreePBX locally hosted or cloud hosted?
Locally

Almost certainly #1
#2 will mitigate it,

Less likely to be the UDP Threshold issue, but still possible.

I'm going to assume you used a
chan_sip
trunk.Fist look at the
chan_sip
settings for NAT and the SIP signalling. Though nothing on the signaling side is set to 15 minutes. But since you need to check the NAT setting, check the other settings.
Now look at the RTP settings, this is set to 15 minutes by default
