          The only cost with the free version is its only deployable from within a Windows environment on your hypervisor of choice.

          So MS licensing costs.

            Didn't they offer a full version of the middle tier for Hyper-V to Spiceworks users once?

              Yes, but you'd have to check with them to see if they are still honoring that. It was also offered to ML users IIRC.

                Yes, but you'd have to check with them to see if they are still honoring that. It was also offered to ML users IIRC.

                    Awesome, hopefully I can get access. Used to have a license from the SW version, but did lose it a while back when wiping things and not checking for useful data!

                    I'm just looking to get the full scale up scale out unlimited node, self supported version, of the vSAN Hyper-V edition...

                      You already have access to that. . . do you mean with the management console and not using PowerShell to administer it?

                        Yeah, that was what the version was given to spiceworks users way back when... would be good to get that again.
