Don’t believe the hype: We may never know the identity of Jack the Ripper
Controversial new DNA forensics study is just the latest claim to ID infamous killer.
A new DNA analysis of stains on a silk shawl that may have belonged to one of Jack the Ripper's victims concluded that the killer was a Polish barber named Aaron Kosminski, according to a paper published last week in the Journal of Forensic Sciences. But other scientists are already calling into question the paper's bombshell conclusions—and they're not exactly mincing words.

Hands on with Google Stadia: It works, but is that enough?
Playing Assassin's Creed on a Chromebook is neat but only part of the story.
Shortly after Google announced its upcoming Stadia streaming platform this morning at the Game Developers Conference, the company opened up a few kiosks showing off the technology in a corner of a Moscone Center West hallway. Unfortunately, these extremely limited demos didn't answer most of the burning questions that Google has still left unanswered about it much-hyped platform.

An astronaut with PTSD loses her cool in first trailer for Lucy in the Sky
Director Noah Hawley's film is loosely based on 2007 case of NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak.
Lucy in the Sky tells the story of married astronaut Lucy Cola (Portman), who has an affair with fellow astronaut Mark Goodwin (Jon Hamm). When he dumps her for another woman in the program, she begins to lose her grip on reality. Originally titled Pale Blue Dot, the movie is the feature-film debut for director Noah Hawley, whose TV credits include Fargo and Legion. Reese Witherspoon was initially considered for the lead role of Lucy but dropped out to shoot the second season of Big Little Lies. Portman came aboard instead, making this at least her second song-titled film alongside Jane Got a Gun.

Tony Lewis leaving Sangoma
For those who have not heard yet my last day with Sangoma Technologies will be April 30th. It’s been a long journey for me. In Jan 2015 Luke Duquaine, Bryan Walters, Philippe Lindheimer and I sold our company Schmooze and the FreePBX project to Sangoma after being involved in FreePBX since 2007.

It's based on a "real-life" event.... kind of. The trailer didn't really make me want to go see it... just sounds like a boring fake-thriller.
I was kind of hoping they'd go with a horror/sci-fi angle.

I don't think that the recent plane fiasco really has anything to do with it.
Most space news sites have been making these kind of comparisons for a while. But with SpaceX now having successfully launched, there is more to talk about again.

Italian driver hijacks and torches school bus full of children
A bus carrying 51 schoolchildren has allegedly been hijacked by its driver and set alight near Milan in Italy.
A teacher who had been on board the bus said the suspect was known to be angry about Italy's migrant policy. Some reports said the man had shouted "stop the deaths in the Mediterranean".

Fast moving bus... people inside are saved... This sounds like a movie I've seen before.
