'Sysprep' Linux

In getting rid of three computers, I have the option to install WIndows or Linux... My choice - Linux.
Having nuked two of the three, I am setting up to install Ubuntu on them,.. and in that, it needs to be set so that when turned on, they get to answer all the questions.
On start up, you have the option to hit 'SHIFT' and enter OEM mode. And this is where I am starting... But - is this the correct way? and is there any any additional steps? I'm about to find out.

First boot,.. comes up as 'normal' and starts looking for updates - which will be needed ..
But there is the option on the desktop called "Prepare for Shipping"..
Updates running.. then will run that.

Usually works that way, I Have only done it in Ubuntu.

Usually works that way, I Have only done it in Ubuntu.
It's the first time I have ever considered setting it up like this - i have done this a few times with Windows - but not Linux.

I may be looking into this soon too. There is an interest and push to start developing product software in Python and Linux. There have been a couple requests for Ubuntu lately, and most likely more coming. It's quick enough already so an image probably won't save much time anyways, but that is still being determined.

Ubuntu is the only OS that I know that actually has this option.
Would be nice if other distros had this as well. But I guess it's just a testament to how commercial Ubuntu is.
