It's a good show but Laura won't watch it because it's too depressing

Just realized that the new Sharknado movie premieres tonight. Time for booze and bad cinema.
Come on you know you will enjoy the most consistent cheesiest cinema ever.
I freaking LOVE bad movies. D cinema is the best. In fact, Thursday night the guys from MST3K will be live riffing Krull. It will be broadcast to theaters nationwide, and I highly recommend seeing anything these guys do.

Sometimes I hate them, sometimes I Love them. Used to collect terrible movies on LaserDisc. there were some classics in there.

I love the ones that have no idea how bad they are, and I also like the ones that know exactly how bad they are (Syfy originals), but in between are the ones I can't watch. When they try to put lipstick on a pig... those are the sucky ones. Sharktopus vs Piranhaconda? I'm in.

I got stuck mid way through season 1. Watching unfunny Chris Pratt whine his way through another situation just lost me.

On season 2 of Voyager.
I think Voyager is underrated. I really enjoyed it. My ordering of Star Trek Shows is as follows:
1.) TOS (It started the whole thing and deserves to be #1)
2.) STTNG
3.) Voyager
4.) Enterprise (Such a shame it was canceled when it was, it was really getting good and had huge potential)
5.) DS9Too soon to classify Discovery.

Nostalgia aside, TOS is pretty bad. I'm not surprised it got cancelled.

I'm surprised DS9 is so low on the list. I really enjoyed the later 3/4 of that series.

Yes, some of them are very very bad. I am watching them on Prime again. But TV in the 60s was all about hammy over acting. Watch any show from that era theyre all like that.

Yes but when you look at the TOS storylines relating directly to the hot-button issues of the 60s, plus the fact that they had the first interracial kiss during the whole civil rights movement, it was damn ballsy. So yes it gets #1 for many reasons. Was it over the top and cheesy, sure, but you have to look past that. A lot of TV shows from that era are cheesy, Gilligan's Isle, Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, etc. So the cheesiness wasn't unique to TOS. Take that into consideration and then coupled with my first points it is easily #1.
DS9 - I just didn't like the whole space station idea. Exploring the stars to me seems inseparable from Star Trek. So being stationary never set right with me. Also one of the reasons I like Voyager so much.
Enterprise, I like the whole people struggling to overcome and we weren't these badasses with super technology like the other shows get portrayed as.

My perspective on TOS is not nearly so nuanced
To each their own. My list would be different, but it would exclude sections of each of the other series because they all have their garbage periods imo.

I loved the station idea. Just hated the characters like Quark and Worf that were so one dimensional.
