Trying to figure out if the CEO's iPhone is the device sending out multiple (100s of) meeting acceptance messages. Is there a way to see which device or what type of device is sending an email message in Office 365?
He and the person sending the message had outdated iOS versions and have since updated. Maybe I just have to have him cancel/delete the event and try again?

@jaredbusch That is what i am looking at. THink i going to replace the wifi here as part of this project; get the cameras on wifi. The current system isnt ip based, so eth cables would need to be run throughout this 100 year old building which is a nightmare unless i go wireless.
Never looked at their WiFi options. only the wired PoE stuff.
Agree - Security items should never be wireless or 'remote powered' PoE on a good UPS, and in a power outage you are still recording...
Uh, you're more likely to have the switches serving the PoE be on backup power than random plugs in the wall the cameras are plugged into?
-
@stacksofplates I guess it depends on if they are using POE switches instead of individual injectors.

Well he said "remote powered", I'm assuming that's what he meant. Because if you're making an argument about security, what's stopping someone from just unplugging the injector?
I don't think wireless is bad for cameras.
-
And I was wrong. They brought them back. I was hoping they would in case one of ours died.

@stacksofplates true. you could also just cut the cat 5/6 cables.

Right. It's security against low end criminals and insurance cases.

I would think Wireless means you have a number of injectors. so... if the power is out, no camera. Or if you have 20 wireless cameras - you might have 20 UPS units to manage then... so PoE would be better..

If they want it bad enough.. they'll do just that,.. or more.
-
@gjacobse You wouldn't need injectors for wireless though

Ok that makes more sense.

Right. If they want in, they'll just shoot them. Any more it has to be mostly for insurance purposes.

no - you are right... wireless would be no injector,.. just power adapter. see comment above.

this just in, nobody likes open office floor plans.

Couldnt agree more. I have a hybrid of this; there are cubes and offices. I have my own office, but no ceiling on the office, the walls stop at 7 ft the ceiling is 10ft. Result is i have not had a single second of quiet in 2.5 years. One of the paper pushers here coughs or clears her throat a couple thousand times a day every day. -

I used to be in an open room where there were 4 of us spread across a desk-height counter top facing away from each other. I didn't really care there, because it was kind of like a fraternity and the door to the room was always closed.
I have been in 2 different dedicated offices at my current company. The first one drove me crazy because it was on the main hallway and they have ceramic tile. People stop and talk to other people, the guy across the way whistled all the time, this one sales guy sings as he walks up and down the hall (not a good voice), ladies wear loud shoes and clomp around, etc. I had to always have my door shut. The second office is down the hall and around the corner from my previous office and is much more out of the way. I have my own A/C unit and I close the door and I can actually concentrate.
