Learning to use PGP over Email
-
Strange request. Is there anyone out there that uses PGP for email encryption? If so would anyone be willing to take a moment to allow me to test the process out? I would need your email address and public key. I can provide my email via private chat. Please forgive if this a really stupid request, not sure if it is proper etiquette to make this type of request. Im just trying to scrub the noob off.
If it is a dumb way to test it, would anyone have an idea how to test it?
Thanks.

I do not have PGP setup, or I would help you out.
PGP email is a silly thing due to complexity to the users.

@jaredbusch Thank you sir. It seems kind of goofy to me as well. Every day something new. Gotta luv it.

It is extremely secure, but just really cumbersome.

Right, the technical functionality is quote solid. But the human interface is horrible.

Yeah. If you had a client that automated it, then it would be pretty decent.

We use email signing and encryption. Signing is on by default, and users encrypt emails that have sensitive information.
This is done via S/MIME cert using RSA 4096-bit encryption, and email clients that support digital signatures and encryption, such as Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.
