Maybe every Monday we have a cross-over post, where everyone upvotes a single thread with spoof OP and spoof suggestions/answers/commetns.
Like 4chan vs Reddit
I'd be for this except I'd feel bad if someone went with one of the totally insane and horrible suggestions for production. . .
I havent been on in a while, and never used it much.. pretty slow witted crowd?
I wouldn't say slow witted.... maybe gullible is a better word. . .
So rules are required. Do no harm to unwitting IT lackeys. No purchase suggestions or scripts that delete hard drives...
So a 92TB OBR5 on 5200 winchesters would fall into that category . .
Maybe something like... What kind of Bears... it best??
Well I like the idea... those posts would be deleted for derailing the topic..... yet by spewing free adverts for their sponsors can things get through. . .
Like "OMG the best Lenovo server I have, it came with OBR5 and has like 40TB without a hot spare, so incredibly reliable" would make it through. . .

LOL. But how far would it get if it were an original topic?
Isnt there a watercooler forum. I am on SW now but really cant find myself around. Lots of junk news posts and on top of the forums.

That takes to much effort (creating a new account that is), so while it's easy to reply to a new thread creating a topic isn't the best approach.
Plus we're just feeding the beast at that point. . . .
Although I know a few people who would happily mess with that community. .

I can only find things from the email alerts. No idea how to navigate the site.

I think you could easily shill post to the Windows forum there, just at a glance the topics themselves look inane...

Actually half the responses are shill already...

@scottalanmiller I am a heavy SW user so the site is simpler than a lot think but since the new feed it can be overwhelming to find some things.

Similar case where Canada tried to claim a right to be forgotten (or actually, the right to cover up) in the US to no avail.

Also stumbled on this while looking for this thread...
