Music and pretty much anything in the shop. It is a bonus as you HAVE to have music playing while you work.

I have always thought Kayaking would be fun/cool to do. Any suggestions for someone that has never done it before?
Never partner with someone that has all new gear.
Lake kayaking is different than white water. There isn't much to lake kayaking. Watch a youtube video for the basics and that's about it. If you roll, you fall out.
White water is different. When you roll falling out doesn't come naturally. You don't have to be able to roll to enjoy it, but getting pummeled by rocks as you lug your boat out isn't much fun. If you can find a class or someone willing to let you play on some flat water to see if you like it, that's a good place to start.
You can also rent what we call a duck. I'm not sure if that is just a local term. It's a personal rubber raft. You can take it down white water and see if you like it. It doesn't lock you in, so if you roll, you don't feel like you're trapped.

So true it physically hurts
Applies to all outdoor activities

Lunch break watching the rain fall... Fall chill, rain - only thing missing was a little fire and being deeper in the forest.

One of my cohorts came in he had his umbrella with him, but you couldn't tell it.

Hmm Tea - Yes,.. as I sit here drinking coffee,... a good cup of tea is quite nice.
Massage.... yea,.. haven't had one of those in years..

Hiking, outdoorsey type stuff with the family (or by myself safely when Family's stressing me out). Not to the extent someone like @MattSpeller does but there's plenty of "easy" trails within 15-30 min of where I live.

What do you do to release stress? Work related stress, family stress, life stress, etc.
I drink, play video games, talk a walk, and sleep.
The only healthy thing on that list is the talk a walk. . .
-
I ride my bicycle, walk playing Pokemon Go, drink high ABV beer, hang out with the kid. I just took up disc golf and love it. A great excuse to go walk a mile, throw frisbees while drinking beer, and letting the kid and dog run circles in an open field.
-
Jack Daniels and Coke, also messing around with fl studio helps de-stress me..

So you talk about walking, but you really take a walk?

A trip to the gym for stabbey, stick swinging, punchey fun is always good for a little tension drop.
Also getting on a bike. My commute is therapy since I get out the office door and roll home on the multi-use path.
