What's the real world use case for needing to share your home coordinates when you are not at home and don't have any digital devices? I never said it could never happen, what I said was it was so niche as to be useless. Partially because it depends on everyone involved having set up the three word system ahead of time and one of the parties being digital and another not, but having done digital work to get to that point.

What part of the three word system alleviates that? They would still need a device to find their three word location and the person on the other end would still need a device to decipher the three word location.
No, the governments that have already picked up this system are going around and literally painting the 3 word address on every 3 meters so people know where they are exactly that moment.
All the people have to have is a dumb phone and be able to call for help should something happen.
I guess... I just am not seeing how this would be better then GPS coordinates on every 3 meter location.

No, that's not a problem. People don't need to remember anything. That's the whole point, to use this system you need to be digital and the need for remembering addresses doesn't exist.

Use case:
I live in a brazil gutter city, there are no formal addresses in place by the government and the nearest street is a quarter mile away from me.
I have a dumb phone and can call for help if fall and get hurt, since there is no official address system, I'm going to suffer.
Instead all I have to do is know the 3 word address nearest me (literally read the wall) in the local language and tell the help where I am.
That person / entity needs to be digital to find the person who needs the help.
Only the person who needs help has to have is the ability to read (their language) and a dumb phone.

You have a phone, ergo the three word system isn't needed. You are missing the point here. Give me an example where you don't already know where the caller is.

a person who does not own a phone who goes shopping and something will be delivered. But maybe that's not a real thing in those places.

They know within a general proximity (something like 300 meters) that's a large area to search for someone when you're in a gutter city.

Right, the idea that you live in a shanty but are getting Amazon deliveries is absurd. And that you could place online orders, but can't get your GPS coordinates? The degree of absurdity needed to make the system appear to have some value is extreme.

you have a phone - the phone either has GPS or can use the cell towers to get close to find you. no 3 word location needed.

Exactly. Whether land lines or the cheapest cell phones. Only thing that doesn't is VoIP, but if you have VoIP... you probably have GPS.

Those phones still have GPS and if not, can still use the cell towers to find you.

And it is way faster and more accurate. And can't be so easily tampered with. The three word system, because it is gibberish, is highly dangerous. Anyone changing a sign can't be identified because you can't tell when the words are wrong, unlike house numbers or GPS that increment in logical ways. And getting it wrong gets it very, very wrong. The margin of error is zero.

BAHAHAH you're insane.
You absolutely give them your address. Just because the police in developed areas can quickly pull your location doesn't mean that they are equipped to do so in the parts of the world where this would be critical.
