Well I use to be a mod here, so I think I know.
Umm that would be an out right lie. I have kept the mod team super small from day one. Heck Gene is the only Mod other than myself and Scott who I hired to maintain the system.

Could be nothing more than the Cogent address. Lots of commercial IPs resolve to big cities and don't actually show a real location. Places like NJ, Toronto, San Jose look like they have more IPs than they do because lines terminate there.

Makes no sense. The ML team is pretty transparent about advertising their business, just see the banner ads to your right. OP is clearly a disgruntled troll.
There is no sign-up form so there is no argument about self promotion. Even if they were partners in something and not mentioning their participation they are probably losing business and so there is still no scandal.

For those following this thread, the OP has requested that the thread be deleted. But I felt that there was a need for more transparency given that the question had been asked and clearly a few people weren't sure as to the answer. But this thread is a bit of a mess. So I posted a fresh thread that will be easier to find and has the answers at the top. So anyone looking can find the answer immediately. SO this is going to be locked for a little bit so people can see this note. Then it will be deleted so that it is less confusing.
