The Register looks at how simple JavaScript in the web browser loaded onto a smartphone can guess, pretty accurately, what your pin is even on the first try by tying into open motion sensors on the mobile devices to figure out what motions are being used.

Apple doesn't allow it on modern devices. Some of my kids' devices still allow four digit pins, mine does not.

I'm not going to enter an 8 - 10 character password on my phone every time I need it. I'd spend the entire day trying to get the password right, lol.

*hides tin foil hat*: I'm also not going to use the finger print sensor or facial recognition either. I just set my phone to self destruct after 10 wrong entries.

I current phone password is nine characters text not numeric. But I hard to use it because that's with the f***ing biometrics are for.

She's got to be doing something, because I just clarified the disaster in that other thread and it took me like two minutes speaking very slowly to get that post out.
