That's the reason I quit recommending Avast and AVG for free A/Vs they started doing that crap with ads randomly pop up from task tray.

It's that signing up for something causes a lot of friction when trying to support someone.

yeah, that wouldn't float on the professional level. but for home use, suck it up and sign up

It has been like that for almost a year now actually. This was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. After that, I researched choices and we purchased 2 licenses of ScreenConnect.

The NAT Traversal is the biggest thing to overcome for any of these types of products. It's most easily done by a middle man server, which of course has a cost.
