I did a huge partner call with MS themselves in January and they don't use it 😛

Oh that's too good. I thought they would want to use it so they can "achieve more ROI, collaborate more, and synergize more with colleagues and partners" </MicrosoftWordBingo>

            Yup!

If the company selling the collab software doesn't even use it, then there is a big red flag.

@TechnicalAngel's previous employer used Lync (Now SfB) and it was horrible from what I have heard.

Why does everyone here hate SFB? Either we are just luckly, and have not have problems on our end, or we simply are not using the same things that everyone else is using.

My last company is currently using it and it works well for them. Desktop video chats and screen sharing. It's not flawless, but it works really well for them. They had their own Lync server before that and SfB is way better.

The only thing I could say negative about it from personal experience, was that the Android app seemed to kill my phone battery. I didn't have it installed long and haven't tried it recently, so I don't know if that was a fluke with my phone or if it has been resolved lately.

                  RocketChat has screen sharing now.

Rocket.Chat video calling leaves a lot to be desired, but is still beta.

I want something that does screen sharing.

Zoom does, gotta pay for it if you want more than 40min sessions.
                      Has chat too.

I think we'll be looking for a screen sharing, video calling & IM app/package in the next year. It will be interesting to see how slack and rocket.chat go.
