@scottalanmiller Poor guy, he was just trying to stay dry.
-
Just spent my lunch catching Pokemon and hatching eggs! Fun times and I walked at least two miles!
-
@aaronstuder if you want to walk more, start playing Pokemon Go! It'll do wonders...

Not from what I've seen. Everyone bundles into a car and drives around around here. Haven't seen a single person walk yet, but know that a ton of people go to driving parks and let the car idle around the parks as they collect Pokemon from their cars and level up from the movement of the car. It's made the people that I see play it more sedentary rather than more active.

Don't forget the modded ones, allows you to catch pokemon and hatch eggs without ever leaving your couch.

I meant the modem side. I use a Motorola Surfboard instead of the BS from comcrap. I didn't realize that fiber was just an ethernet handoff, that negates my question kinda. I have all the firewall/router stuff to connect to the handoff.
But that isn't always true.
Are you just getting Internet? Then it might be true.
Just internet, no TV. I'm a cordcutter... Kodi is my best friend.
Then you can probably just get an ethernet drop like we have here at work.
They'll run it into a box in your house, and then the ethernet from there.
I started with internet only and it was still run with coax into the house. It was not a ethernet drop off.
At work it is, don't know why there is a difference.
Maybe bussiness vs home?
You could probably get rid of the coax.
Just run ethernet from the big white box in your basement/garage.

THat's what we did. Right to the server closet and the cabling plant.

Will need to look into that.

Guy claims his auditors indemnify him and he has no culpability for not being PCI compliant. While violating every PCI requirement that we can determine remotely...
