What did you have for lunch or dinner today?

A few weeks ago: Burger at Jim Block.
JB is the "fast food" division of Block House, a big Steak House franchise here. The price for this menu (burger, garlic bread or baked potato, cole slaw, soft drink) is comparable to the price for a menu at McD or BK.

Döner Kebab, a popular Turkish meal. Some people say it was actually invented (in its current form with tzatziki) in... Berlin. At least there are more small corner restaurants selling Doner in Berlin than in Istanbul. Nearly the same here in Hamburg, way more Döner than Chinese bistros.

Wife cooked a frozen burger patty for me.
Last lunch form her for a while since she is taking a part time job tomorrow.

The elder daughter requested some Panda Express so I am running out to get that for her.

Bit of a boring lunch today, sadly, but, not by choice.
White rice, with chopped chicken (no skin), cooked in a vegatable stock cube. And tonight, for dinner (was not much better), more chicken with pasta, Cottage Cheese and boiled egg.
Oh gosh, roll on this Thursday night, please! food !!

I've got some black beans and rice I made for lunch today... lots of bacon and cumin and garlic in the beans, some of the best I've made in a while. Might post the recipe later.
