Just curious, do you mean https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verizon_Fios? If so, what are you paying currently?
Will be $115 for 25/25 or $125 for 50/50
-
Well worth it, just get that.

Maybe I'll check out the 75/75 while I am at it!

It was actually only $89 when I had POTS lines with them, but as we discussed they are now gone.

Is that cheap? I've had FiOS for so long we're just used to the pricing.

Cheap, yeah, probably... NOT
I'm paying 30 EUR including 2 ISDN lines (emulated over SIP), phone flat, cable TV and ~40/125 MBit/s FTTB with VDSL2 from the basement to my apartment.
-
Oh, yeah, and roughly 19 EUR for our public broadcasting (you have to pay for that, there is no opt-out)

He's not in the US. No one pays Internet prices like the US. They are some of the highest in the world.
300Mb/s 4G is just $8/mo in Moldova.

Just a scam tax. It should be included in the general tax, not a separate thing as if you are using it.

That's a very major topic here. Multi-billion business and they try to get more and more. Statistically, the average audience who is watching the crap is like 65 years old.

10 EUR for 1GB and flat for all landline and Vodafone internal calls here in Germany.
Used to be way more expensive a few years ago.

Things work the opposite here in the US>
Prices on that stuff keep rising and rising...

On the other hand... what are you paying for standard gasoline (no super etc)? Same for your homes... When you want to build a normal house, it's like 200k EUR+ here

Took it from drug dealers. Get them hooked and relying on it and then hike up the price.

Housing prices are actually higher in much of the US. Places like Texas are cheaper than Germany, but Romania is a fraction of Texas (like 5% - 10% the cost.) And places like NY are more expensive than pretty much anywhere in Europe. Our housing prices are not drastically different, but I think that you'll find most Americans are paying more than most Europeans for housing. $200K doesn't get you much house in the US. You can get an okay house for that in Texas or Nebraska, but only in cities that pay very low (I have one for sale in Texas if you want.)

My little, doesn't even stand on its own, 24 year old house in the woods in NY is $335K to build today and $500K not that long ago. And it is heading back towards $500K. It would be a normal size, but low quality, house for Germany.

The lightweight construction method that's so common in the US?

Kind of a lean to.
