Surface Pro 3 Dock?

There's a great deal of buzz around here regarding the Surface Pro 3. My boss actually has one on pre-order, and we will be getting another for our CFO. But what I don't understand is why the dock for the Surface Pro 3 is not on pre-order like other acessories such as the new type cover for the SP3.
I called Microsoft Store today to ask, and I was told the same dock that works with the SP1 and SP2 would work for the SP3. The gentleman also said there were no plans for a newer dock. I guess he hasn't read everything online about the new dock.

@NetworkNerd I was wondering the same thing and when i went to the microsoft store they said the dock wasn't going to be available for launch day in 7 days however they had hoped within the first month of launch that the dock would be available for purchase.

I've been on the Surface Bandwagon since day one and they have always been slow on promised accessories. I think they test the waters with initial sales first before putting out additional ones, like the dock. We still haven't seen the "blades" of attachable devices like the music mixer.
As far as the same SP1/SP2 dock working for the SP3...that is an interesting revelation, considering the size difference between them.

@garak0410 as i was told by the sales reps the 1/2 dock won't work with the 3 because of the size difference.

Haven't been to any mall but Willowbrook in a great many years.

I've had SpiceCorps meetings in some of them. I've been to ones in Atlanta and Houston, as well the kiosk in Providence. I want to say that I've visited another as well, but can't recall offhand where it was.
