Technically, you are breaking the law, so what personal freedom is being encroached?

This turns into a debate if wearing of seatbelts, speeding, etc are really worth having a law on.
Otherwise the lack of constant enforcement in the past, now the change to constant seems like little more than a money grab.

That I will not argue. Enforcement should be consistent.

But I bet that wearing a seatbelt will still be required, at least for a while.
