@Dashrender with older USB printers, use this link for classic printers.

They own nothing now, so this will be a new printer. It will be wireless and Chromebook ready, or it's not being purchased.
-
@Dashrender Also, one thing my brother-in-law's father liked (I set him up with a Chromebox), is that he can get on another computer, sign into Gmail, and print off stuff to his printer at home, because it's connected at home. So then when whoever is at his house and coming into town, they can bring his stuff with him if he isn't around a printer at the time and someone is going to be coming from his house.
Keep in mind... this is a man that uses the F word in every sentence with technology because he doesn't understand a lick of it.

While I can see the novelty of the remote printing, I don't see the real use of it. But then again, you're talking to a guy who has a printer at home but can't tell you the last time he printed, probably 5 months ago.

If you're setting up both devices, should work fine. If you know the SSID (you already said you don't, but if you can get that info), you could get everything connected, then make the changes on both devices to have the SSID/password added and they'd really have a plug and play.
Otherwise, you could do the cloud print stuff (in theory, should be plug and play...), all they'd have to do is setup both things on the wireless network.

This is also coming from a guy who hasn't ever had a home printer...

I even argue with businesses that require me to fax something, or print it out and mail it in. "It's more secure"... don't tell me those lies! I'd rather print to PDF and email it to you.

Can Windows 7 upgrade to 10 without any user action? No.
Yes it can, now, I believe:
