Synology NAS 2 Bay - 0.pool.ntp.org Time Server
-
So one of our little 2 bay NAS units is configured to use the above global NTP server and was off by more than 5 minutes.
Not a huge deal but I was curious if anyone else is using this same NTP server and noticed any issues with the system clocks using it.
Because of the time difference the share that this drive is running was disconnected from the network.

What does Synology report about its own skew?

Not certain where to check it specifically, I'm on the self hosted webpage, ssh access isn't even enabled.
I'm sure I could enable it to check though.

One of our remote ones is bang on with my laptop (yet to check other remote ones)
Edit: whoooo that uptime. Missed it in the last patch tuesday reboot round heheh.

Command should be
ntpd -p

@scottalanmiller Must be run as root.
Which I don't have the root credentials. Just the user credentials.

Nope.

It's up and working, since I forced a time sync, but I'm curious as to why it fell out in the first place.

It happens, NTP is pretty unstable.
