I think this is hilarious that they did that, but for all of you who have local things doing purposely incorrect countdowns... what the heck is that? Let's count down to the New Year... NOT actually on the countdown to the New Year. I guess it's always 5:00 somewhere...

We called the grandparents in Japan right at New Year's local to them. Was 0900 here.
