Amazon 100 Buck Gift card oh which tablet to get
-
So annual company gift card for $100 bucks. I want a tablet, just to have and play around with. Nothing special planned for it.
I did support the Pine64 project, so ideally something that can work with that would be awesome as well.
Any input?

For $100 you can get into an entry level Kindle Fire. Our kids each got one for $35 this year.
-
Not a tablet but that will get you a Fire TV too.

I'm with @scottalanmiller. The value to dollar ratio on the 7" Kindle Fires is amazing. If you're a Prime member the value goes up significantly since you can download Prime programs for offline viewing. That being said, it will never be anything more than a consumption device, and if you're anticipating doing any higher level gaming it may have some issues.
-
And if you are like me, you get two Kindle Fires for Christmas and already have Prime. So you get a Fire TV Gaming system and a Fire Stick so that it turns into four total devices plus we have the Amazon Echo which is a little bit like a fifth Fire device. So we have Alexa across five devices, Amazon Prime everywhere. And we use Amazon Cloud Drive which gives us access to our music and movies and files across all of these devices. It's pretty impressive and super cheap.

The PINE64 Project has a number of backing levels... jeez
Which lot did you get into?
As for the Amazon Card - Hard to say on that one.... Books, eBooks, music. If you travel as @scottalanmiller does, then the Fire TV might be a good option.

Can't you run windows 10 on the Pine64.. as in the RT/ARM version. I remember them saying that was going to be free without needing anything at all

I'd have to go back and look to confirm. Not sure what I will use it for,.. I have about two dozen projects I think I would like to build - just not sure what route to go with any of them,...
