Greetings all,
I thought I remember there being a post on this and I may have been the one to ask the question. Either that or there is a glitch in the matrix. Either way, Yes or No for AntiVirus on Servers?

I use Backblaze Personal on 2 machines (I have significantly more than 10GB of data) and I pay the $50/year up front. $100 for constant on the fly backup is worth it and no size restrictions.
I am sure there are other options out there but that's my 2 cents.

Great! BTW, I read a while ago that WSUS was going away? Yet today in my searches for this issue I see that it is indeed still alive and well on 2012 servers? Did I dream that WSUS was going away?
Checking a bunch of my laptops I have found that they are all sitting at the .192 update when I check winver. If I tell them to check for updates they all have come back and said no updates are available. However, when I look at Microsoft's website I see that 1709.214 is available.
Thoughts or a general kick in the right direction?

Small update just deployed on Sodium.
And Happy Holidays, everyone!
I'm not sure if it is update related but none of my machines are checking in. Some since January 18, 22 or 26th.

I have a PRI and it is through Time Warner/Spectrum. That all checks out on their end.
Oh. Ewww
At the time we didn't have a SIP option. Now that they are trying to make us pay a $7000 bill for their F-up we'll be looking for a new SIP provider.
Sorry for being AFK. It is working now. I removed the WANPIPE driver, reinstalled it and then reconfigured the Dahdi config for my PRI.
All Good. Not sure why it hiccuped but it's working now.

I already PM'd him

Upgraded to FreePBX 14 and since the upgrade all internal calls work fine. Incoming/Outgoing calls do not. I have created a support request with Sangoma but they haven't called me back since I reported the issue @ 3pm yesterday.
It seems that the Dahdi config is messed up. Happens every time I reboot the server but I don't know how to fix that part. Any FreePBX gurus in the house?
@scottalanmiller said in Can I use Sodium to monitor VPS?:
VPS are transparent on a network. So anything like this will work there the same as if it is not a VPS.
I'm curious to know they checked in but haven't been seen since Dec 13/14 then.
@aaronstuder Could be, I'll check. But why would it check in for a few times and then stop? Wouldn't the firewall rules keep it from checking in at all?
Using CloudReady to make two old Lenovo Yoga's into chromebooks for my kids for school. Pretty easy set up.
I have two linodes and installed Sodium on both units. The did an initial check in but nothing since Dec 13/14. Is that something with Linode not allowing them to check in?
@scottalanmiller said in What did you have for lunch or dinner today?:
The kids asked for Denny's last night.
Kids are past the McDonald's requests?
Made it Saturday but actually had time to eat it today.

What are the requirements? Text only? audio? video? desktop sharing? free?
Really just basic messaging.
Good Morning,
I got a request from a few people to have an in-house Messenger system. We are running Exchange 2016 in house. Anyone have any suggestions? It could be beneficial to have AD integration.

In /var/www/web/logs I have an access log that is 7.5GB. Can I purge that?
Your logs should be cycling. Is this a log for a single day?
It was not for a single day. It was from day 1 of the server life (25-Sept-2015)
Strange, is it doing it now. It should be on your cronjobs daily or weekly.
Meaning I should put it there or it should already be there?
