Well, Google(Alphabet?) seems to be ignoring it currently. I'd be upset if they killed it, even if I'm one of the few that would be.

My wife grew up on a Texas 1 parcel ranch. She raised money as a young teenager by catching rattle snakes for the Rattle Snake Roundup. Train them right, have the anti-venom readily available, and maybe. Don't know that I'd actively encourage doing that tho.
Was it the rattlesnake roundup in Sweetwater per chance?
I'm not positive, but I'd be very surprised if it wasn't the one in Sweetwater.

Surprised how many people have nuked accounts that I had conversations with (e.g. were not bots or 1PWers) have deleted their accounts, both end users and vendors.

The thing I think that started pushing people away was the Spiceworks people posting for companies. It just doesn't work in the community they've built. I have a feeling it's more than just that tho.

Works with the standard client, wherever it runs.. the Java client. We have been testing it from Windows 10 but the standard client is the same everywhere - the miracle of Java

In middle and high school we had something like that. It was a hand coded console graphics and batch programs that would run what you chose. You're taking me back. It might have originally been made on a program like that, but the students quickly learned how to customize it.

World of Warships started a sponsored contest this week. Complete objectives and get stuff you normally have to pay for. It's a free game, so I am the product. Still great fun going back to old ships you've moved on from, and getting some slight rewards for it.
Swearing in my head at Windows updates that got installed on a Wednesday instead of Tuesday. I WAITED TO START TRANSFERING MY BACKUP SERVER TO THE NEW HOST BECAUSE I KNOW UPDATES ARE TUESDAY MICROSOFT! Grrr. Looks like the transfer got nixed near the end because I've got 612GB out of 680GB. Guess it's time to start the rsync and wait.

You need X11. Not necessarily a GUI. I know it's odd, but X11 does not a GUI make. My first IT experience was with engineers doing 3D modeling work on a headless IRIX server. Try isntall just X11, maybe?
