Wife got up before the kids so that she could grab the video game system and now she is playing Dragon Age 2.
She is still playing, hasn't even taken a break.
Like "just this quest, will turn off afterwards"?

Erm, since when is Google doing this?

celebrating birthdays?
Actually inserting "custom" doodles based on your personal data
What?!
There's a doodle saying "Happy birthday Thorsten". Guess what "th" in "thwr" means
Never saw this before, that's why I'm asking. -

Learning about System Center Configuration Manager
It's a super complex piece of software but is very powerful. We're going to be deploying it to production this summer.
Yes, and if you're not careful, it can wipe & reload a large portion of your infrastructure for you!
This could happen with every software that's capable of reimaging, but at least SCCM 2012R2's grouping functions are everything but intuitive. It's meant to be used at very large scales, not for SMB, IMHO.

Wait, I've posted some YT vid where someone prays: "Thou shall not use RAID-5 on spindles. Use RAID-6 instead! You'll see a huge performance boost!" without @scottalanmiller instantly raging? SAM, are you ok?

In the office 'til 5pm, then hospital. Bought a few things for the weekend. Cleaned the kitchen, fed the guinea pigs, exactly 9pm here now. Trying to eat some cornflakes for "dinner".

I had one the day. vendor installing software they support and could get it running....... Kept giving crystal reports error, dll ocx type thing.
They tried all day asking if there was some permissions not working (I gave then local admin access and there domain user was a admin )
Left them to it.
They gave up. Took me 5 minutes to sort. All it needed was the right runtime installing .......
Crystal Reports :thumbs_down_medium-light_skin_tone:
Hey, no horror stories when I want to go to bed please.

Replaced our aging whitebox pfSense (Intel Atom D5xx-series) with an UBNT ER Infinity. Also moved from "everything on VLAN 1" to multiple dedicated networks. Isolated hosted services in /30 subnets, each having its own VLAN (we do have a large /24 public subnet now truncated into /30's).
Trying to avoid any mirrors this evening. Will probably find three more gray strands.

Printed my first asset tags with SnipeIT today using a BP-730 label printer and some checkerboard security labels (the type of sticker that can't be removed without destroying it).
Setting up the printer wasn't fun, but the result is great.

Trashed two more microSD cards today... I hate those little buggers, never meant to be used as storage devices for an operating system.
