Oh, and I recovered an unmaintained 2007 Joomla website from an even older OpenBSD bare metal (desktop) system today whose (single) HDD died a few days ago. There was SOME kind of a backup (mostly a dump without any documentation) and I was able to gather the last pieces from the dead disk.
Took some hours but it's now running as a Hyper-V VM with Ubuntu server 17.10, nginx, php-fpm and MariaDB instead of Apache 1.x, mod_php and mySQL. Just need to migrate the site to an up to date version of Joomla.

Uck, after being stuck with a Joomla site for a bit, I have an unnatural loathing of it now.
I would love to replace it, but I don't have the time

Depends. You basically want the connection between your proxy and your webserver to be encrypted too. There are a few cases where you may omit that, for example if you trust your host and both systems run on the same metal.
Basically, the same reasons that make you use HTTPS on LANs apply here too, IMHO.

Looks great, will probably try it once it gets a little warmer outside.
Fought one hour with the replaced ER Infinity which arrived yesterday. The router itself could ping everything outside just fine, but no client on the LANs where able to do that.
Turned out that the setup wizard somehow created a bad SNAT rule. Created a new one and everything instantly worked.

Gotta setup a Domain controller now, it wont let me do anything else (add user, computers, etc. ) until I do.Just in case you're starting a new AD: Better go read a few articles about AD DNS setup, naming conventions and general best practices before configuring the role. Choosing a good root level domain name is of utmost importance and it shouldn't be changed later.
It's possible, but requires expert level knowledge. It's like jumping through a minefield - blindfolded on a pogo stick.

My bad: Path of Exile, really worth it. Free 2 Play without Pay 2 Win. You can only buy chest space, character slots and cosmetics, but nothing that makes you more powerful in any way.
