RE: Feature Requests
@Dashrender Oh and to solve that use the bell feature on the right side of the header pane. Not as nice to work with as the unread one but it will take you directly to the post.

RE: What Does Your Home Lab and Office Look Like?
@Minion-Queen True but the switches, etc are still where they are located in this picture.

RE: Feature Requests
@Dashrender So there is a feature with that. Look at the arrows that are up and down with the number in-between on each post and on the OP.
I believe there is an RSS feed but would have to see where. @steve might have more insight.
Also, agreed. The chat feature is quite nice.

RE: Umm...what did I just read?
@Minion-Queen Overall I agree. The only reason there should be an exception to that is in cases where blatant neglect or abuse is evident. So if that was in the case in her situation, what she's doing MAY be understandable. But throwing the equivalent of a legal-based temper tantrum shows how far my generation has fallen and continues to fall.

RE: Tired of winter?
@scottalanmiller It's just weird. Even in Liverpool we didn't have that drastic a change in that short a period of time. It was nuts!

RE: TED Talks: Sir Ken Robinson on Do Schools Kill Creativity
Gonna have to watch this later. Looks interesting. I, in many ways, agree.

RE: SIP Provider
@scottalanmiller It used to. But they locked it all down. @networknerd has an older version of the app he never updated and it still works for that reason.

RE: Tired of winter?
Saturday it was in the 70s and may or may not have hit the 80s. Not sure. At 3 or 4 AM it was still in the 60s. I got to bed at 4:30AM Sunday and got up around noon. Just before. It was 28. That's a HUGE temperature drop for a few hours...

RE: SIP Provider
@Dashrender Ah ok. I know cordless VoIP phones exist. More correctly phones with cordless handsets. @networknerd would have a better idea than I but I'm pretty sure Snom has a couple of pretty good ones, from what I've heard. As far as exact models, beats me.
-
RE: SIP Provider
Also, wireless/portable? Do you mean cordless handsets or softphones on a smartphone? Either will work.
-
RE: SIP Provider
@Dashrender We run it hosted. As far as phones, that's the beauty. Use pretty much whatever you want. Only one I know doesn't work is the 3CX softphone and it used to until they locked it down to 3CX systems only.

RE: SOHO Router Equipment
@Dashrender I was tired last night until I was able and ready to go to bed. Then I woke up...:@

RE: What are you listening to? What would you recommend?
@scottalanmiller I honestly can't say I know who that is.
-
RE: Umm...what did I just read?
@awkward-gamer Agreed. I can't imagine how those parents feel. Moreover, I would like to know what in the world that "friend's father" is thinking and what is going on between him and the girl in question.

RE: Here Is How Much I Love VIPRE for AV
@Dashrender Agreed. Staples was a big Norton360 fan and still is. That's what I was taught to push until I learned about, well, you know, REAL IT. Last I knew, BB pushes Kaspersky harder than ANYTHING. That may have changed. BB stands for something else as far as I'm concerned. Biggest <insert word here>. I'll let you figure it out.
