So the day is a couple of minutes longer in Finland today than it is at Disney World.

Which they try desperately to say is the happiest place on earth. But in reality, it is just depressing.

Disney World is for sure the most depressing place on Earth if you forgot where you parked your car.

Or if you paid the admission fee.

Just found out that the mall in Stranger Things is Gwinnett Place, which is very near my house. That's why it looked familiar.

Woohoooo!!!!! Birthday weekend for me!!!! And my homey with the same birthday is going to be in town too!!! Nothing really planned yet, but I know there will be good food and plenty of drinks.

Not odd, the entire industry has known for decades that you send people home to work, you bring them to the office for politics and to serve the egos of managers. Nearly everyone is way more productive at home. That's why nearly all good companies don't just allow it, they encourage it.

as that may be true: i was saying odd because of hours and how I have to put less hours on my time card because I worked from home.

That's just bad management by your boss. A full day of work is a full day of work, doesn't matter where you were.

Playing a show with the new band on Friday.... haven't been on stage in nearly 4 years, so I'll be a bundle of nerves. But I am stoked to get back at it.

Finally getting discharged from the hospital/rehab. Been here since Sept 3rd, not sure I'm actually ready to go home, but insurance decided that's all they're paying for.

I wish. Severe neuropathy (nerve pain) caused by a REALLY bad B12 deficiency. The B12 part is fixed now but there's still agonizing pain 24/7. Like a fentanyl patch barely reduces the pain. Hurts like hell to type, I can barely walk, etc.

Ooof! Do the docs have any idea as to whether or not the pain will go away or has that become a thing now?

Seems to be an open ended healing process, I'll be meeting with a pain management doctor on Monday (which kinda points to a long recovery). I'm hoping that good PT and losing a few lbs will speed up the process.

It's full tilt spring here... These are the cherry trees in my front yard.

I just found out that the audio software I used for most of the last 20+ years is still around. Apparently Sony sold it to Magix, who has modernized it. So now I'm going through some of my earliest electronic stuff, some will open, other won't. Going forward this will be an emotional, exciting, frustrating obsession to add to my daily routine. Might be rendering out some tunes that I might post somewhere and link to here. Or I will lose what's left of my sanity tweaking a remix for a contest that ended 15 years ago.

PSA: Hyper-V server 2019 auto installs the pagefile on the D drive (if present). This can cause enormous issues if that's the big partition that holds VHDX files and shared storage. Had 2 VMs that just wouldn't start, the pagefile was the problem. Used to move it to C, great success!
