RE: MANS ALLERGY TO TECHNOLOGY
If he was allergic I doubt he'd have pictures of himself taken by a photographer, that would cause him some sort of electro rash right?
On the plus side if he really was allergic to electro magnetic area's he could function as a living wifi detector. A somewhat useless super power mixed with a harry potter scar. "Oh god, its close, my scar, it burns" could mean Voldemort, could mean Starbucks open WiFi.

RE: Solar-powered roads: Coming to a highway near you?
@JaredBusch Good question, does it tie into the power grid?
Will these LED's create more light pollution though? I'm so fed up with lousy light pollution.

RE: New Chromebook Lineup Heralds Bright Future
Is the chromebook the introduction of the masses to Linux? I'm still kind of shocked that Ubuntu laptops aren't sold in the US other than by Dell for special order.

RE: Solar-powered roads: Coming to a highway near you?
I love the idea of the solar powered road, I love the idea of how it connects together, I love how easy it is to fix. My problem with it is the cost. Mass producing 1,000 miles of road shouldn't cost as much as they're looking to sell it for. I mean a $1K donation currently gets you a 4" hexagonal piece of roadway. and a $10K donation gets you a 7" hexagonal piece..... AND ITS ONLY THE GLASS!!!
There has to be a way to take this idea, and mass produce it for a couple bucks. Some sort of automated system for a huge chunk of it, and another chunk of new jobs state side would be marvelous.

RE: So where are you located?
@JaredBusch said:
Not sure if I would be willing to do something or not. I like to have my options open though, so I figured I would post.
- Collinsville, IL (12 miles from downtown St. Louis, Missouri)
- 2-4 hour drive radius depending on a billing practices regarding windshield time.
lol a 4 hour drive puts me in Scotts house, at that point I think I'd end up hanging with Scott. Or 2 hours away from hanging with Bill.

RE: So where are you located?
- Baltimore Maryland, born and raised
- I travel to DC daily, so almost 40 mile radius now, not afraid to step it up
- The question you didn't ask, What hours are we talking? Currently have the generic 7:30 - 5:30 job mon-thur, fridays off by 11:30.

How hard is net+?
Recently I've bounced a few emails back and forth with our one and only @scottalanmiller ... well its been a couple of weeks... but it got me curious. How hard is the net+ exam? I got bored and answered about ten practice questions and got 100%... yeah we can't base my knowledge off of 10 questions... but is this an exam I should really knuckle down and study for? Or do y'all think after two years of professional IT experience I could just go full tilt and take the exam next week without a problem?

Scott have I added you on steam?

RE: Guns of Icarus online (obligatory Nic Shoutout)
Engineers can man the guns, but the gunners have more choices of ammo for the guns. So gunners can do more damage, engineers can repair faster. I've noticed most teams being 2 engineers, 1 gunners, and 1 pilot. Works real well.

RE: Guns of Icarus online (obligatory Nic Shoutout)
@scottalanmiller http://store.steampowered.com/app/209080/
Its kind of hard to explain. Generally its 4 air ships that are split into teams of two vs two, each air ship has a crew of four. One is a pilot and the other three have their choice of gunner or engineer. Your goal is to shoot down the other team, all the while they are shooting at you. Balancing engineers to repair broken parts such as the hull, balloon, guns, and engines, all the while shooting at the enemy. Requires tons of team work, and you can't exactly be a dick to your team.... I kept flipping my shit on the captain who kept our bad side open... he quit shortly after leaving us floating in space with no captain. -
RE: Guns of Icarus online (obligatory Nic Shoutout)
Well @Nic I believe we have to play sometime then Even though I'm sporadic with my Steam activity I'm finding that as one of those rare games over decent virtue. You legit have to get along with your team mates... I had a captain last night that kept our right side open... the one side that DIDN'T HAVE CANONS!!!

Guns of Icarus online (obligatory Nic Shoutout)
So I believe it was @Nic who brought the game up quite a while back on spiceworks. And as many of us are cursed to buy the humble bundle out of sheer desire for a good deal, I bought it last week. I must say... that game... (with the right team) IS AMAZING!!! It gets a 4 star RAM rating out of 5. One star missing since it doesn't integrate perfectly with Steam, which honestly isn't a big deal, I just prefer for my friends on steam, to be my friends on games. Not my games on steam, have separate friends per each game.
