How hard is net+?

Recently I've bounced a few emails back and forth with our one and only @scottalanmiller ... well its been a couple of weeks... but it got me curious. How hard is the net+ exam? I got bored and answered about ten practice questions and got 100%... yeah we can't base my knowledge off of 10 questions... but is this an exam I should really knuckle down and study for? Or do y'all think after two years of professional IT experience I could just go full tilt and take the exam next week without a problem?

I didn't find it hard at all. Matter of fact, it felt like I took the A+ all over again. If you study for it and pass, the Security+ exam is even easier to manage.

Super easy. I got a book, read for four hours one afternoon. Passed the next day.

@RAM. The Exam Cram. I took the test the week that it first released. Don't think that that book even exists now.

For me I always used Sybex CompTIA books. It's actually Wiley now I believe.

I think we have the MSPress one.

Not a hard test and all good info to know. Be sure to learn the OSI model backwards and forwards.

It's assuming a numbered list, and if you're starting one, why would you start with 7? So smart it's dumb.

Because the stack starts at the bottom to crest, and the top to strip.

The OSI model is one of the most important things that I ever learned in IT. Incredibly useful, even for people who are not doing network work very often.

Knowing and really groking the OSI really helped my career.

I learned it as:
"Programmers Do Not Throw Sausage Pizza Away." and "Please Do Not Tell Sales People Anything." -
Never learned a trick for it. Once you understand what it does it's not to hard to remember.
