Alright so it looks like errors are way down and surfing speed is way up. Everyone should expect another big release tomorrow that will bring logout times WAY down and potentially new UI for you to work with.

I got some errors, maybe during the release. Now it's normal again. I'm not getting the weird flashing between pages now.
When we're spinning up sometimes the subscriptions/queries can't keep up until the app is fully up and running. Let me know if errors continue though.

RE: Sodium Update
@scottalanmiller , @Dashrender, @black3dynamite, @JaredBusch, @dAlright, @DustinB3403 , @bigbear we have a release coming out and it has redesigned the architecture behind the site considerably. Hopefully you will see a performance boost and no more of the annoying errors. Only thing I've noticed wrong so far is a bit of a slow log out time so just be aware of that. I'll fix that but it's rather low on the priority list as of right now compared to all the good that came out of this (hopefully). Keeping my fingers crossed it's as good for you guys as is it is for me! We might have another release tonight as well, depending on if my coffee holds up.

RE: Sodium Update
Sorry that I'm not as quick to respond tonight. I'm overhauling some major pieces at the moment to try to make this whole process a bit smoother for everyone.

RE: Sodium Update
@Dashrender You sir are a monster at finding bugs! Thanks for catching that. I'll take a look here in a minute after I finish up something that everyone is going to be happy to have

PS. I'm clearly blind as the installer is right there. . .
glad you found it. We're only a few weeks out from start of development so releases are coming very regularly. We just wanted a great community to help test as we go along to aid us in making this really what you guys need so here we are :D.

@DustinB3403 Unit Management > unit installers > windows installer. Linux isn't quite up and running yet. The agent works as intended but we're just verifying a few last items on the list before posting.

@scottalanmiller Did you turn it off and on again?
Ironically that is exactly what he's going to do lmao. He'll turn it on again for data collection and then off again to verify that the hotfix did it's job. Which it will have

RE: Sodium Update
@Dashrender Thanks for the update! I'm still looking into that login error as it actually happened to me this morning as well but cleared up on our side as well. Apparently my hotfix didn't completely remove the issue. I'll keep you posted as I keep looking into it. It looks to be happening far less but isn't perfect yet.

Bug fixes that, due to my obsessive nature, are keeping me from sleeping.

RE: Applications Disappear
@scottalanmiller said in Applications Disappear:
So in my Sodium scan of my one laptop, I noticed that it did a great job initially of picking up applications installed on the laptop. After the laptop shut off (no idea if the two things are connected) the list of the applications became blank. Now it looks like it is not picking up the applications, but they were there earlier. So wondering why they disappeared.
Caught me just as I was going to bed, this issue has since been resolved. NOW I'm going to get some shut eye.

RE: Sodium Update
Alright everybody, I'm off to bed. It has been fun and thank you everyone for jumping in with testing. It's immensely helpful as things tend to get fixed so much faster this way. Tomorrow is a new day with lots of work to be done! Thanks again.

RE: Sodium Update
@Dashrender I did push through an update intended on fixing that bug so please let me know if it happens again. I'm going to keep an eye out for it as well as I continue to work on other things.

RE: Sodium Update
@Dashrender Hmmmm. I'm sitting on my win10 box right now with both firefox and chrome open and I still can't get that issue to populate and have been trying to get it to populate for probably 15 minutes now. I'll keep you posted on when I figure out what is going on.

RE: Sodium Update
We are actively working on things at the moment just so that everyone is aware (I would consider 11pm off business hours) so if you experience sporadic loss of connection at times that is very possibly why.

I found my logon issue, the company shortname you make is case sensitive.
I'm logged in, but like @bigbear Chrome and FF auto log me off.
Edge gave me the error once, but after that it stayed logged in.But again like @bigbear I can't find the installer.
Installer is in unit management under unit installers.

We're going to be rolling out a release here in a little bit to resolve these issues. I'll make a post as soon as the deployment has finished. Thanks again everybody.
I'm waiting for the aforementioned post that listed issues are resolved.
Sorry one further bug was found as I was pushing to release and I didn't want to put that up without it being fixed. Working on deploying right now.

RE: Sodium Update
@bigbear The plan is for the product to be free for the base. There is discussion of having some freemium features for things that are just impractical to handle in a free version such as large scale log collection which is just too costly per endpoint to collect unless the owners of the endpoints are paying for it - otherwise you collect log data in huge quantities and at great cost for customers who only do it because it is free and automatic and not because they intend to use it. But the idea around the product is with the hopes of it starting and staying free. We want to be "the" go to system management tool. We know that it is a very long road from where we are to there, but we have a lot of hope around our design that it will be both something really groundbreaking and amazing, and that we are designing it in such a way that it can remain free.
@bigbear Only in development for several weeks. So this is very, very new. Hence why it is so rough. But we are attempting to have a very rapid development process and while we aren't moving as fast as we could, it's still moving along at a good clip. -
RE: Sodium Update
@JaredBusch That installer for linux however is not ready just so that you are aware. Glad to see firefox is behaving though!
