And the US govt has shut down.
Meh. This is not the first and will not be the last. The folly of men. This too shall pass.
@scottalanmiller Please be vigilant, it is no fun at all what it can do to you. Your immune system begins to think that heart valve tissue, joint tissue and parts of the brain (Basal Ganglia) are the enemy.

I've definitely been very sick though in the past and would say I've had the flu.
Where I am from, everyone even doctors refer to the 24 hour stomach bug as the flu, which is nothing like a real flu. So everything things that that is what the shot is for.
I'm not discussing a 24 hour bug though. I'm talking 3-6 days of severe illness.
Respiratory?
Mostly, head and chest and breathing issues. Not to long ago I got past a head cold that turned into a lung thing. I had a cough for 3 weeks after. I didn't go to get checked out, but I probably should've.
Could be flu. Could be strep. I get strep constantly (but I know why and don't care.) LOL
STREP!! DID YOU SAY STREP???? Oh boy, be careful please!! Both of my boys just happen to inherit the gene that seems to allow Strep to inhabit their systems asymptomatically. Both ended up with Rheumatic fever (which is an autoimmune reaction to strep bacteria). The oldest only ended up with the rash. The youngest ended up with Sydenham's chorea. Two years later he is still suffering the tics. Do not mess around with strep. It has been a rough road.
They have to be on antibiotics until they are 21 or possibly the rest of their lives.

Flu vaccine is only for the elderly, enfeebled, and others with compromised immune systems... If you're reasonably healthy, there is no reason to get a flu shot (unless you secretly want to get sick as fuck for no reason). I had one when I was 18, and you'd literally have to kill me to get me to take another one. Never been sicker in all my life (and that counts the times I had the flu before that BS shot).
I've never had a flu shot, and I probably never will.
If I ever got the flu, I didn't notice or didn't get sick enough to care. Same with others in my family.
I used to never get it. Several years ago, I decided to. I ended up feeling like I had the flu but it was mild. I also noticed a strange painful sensitivity on the surface of my skin all the way down the arm on which I had received the shot. I would say it is similar to what people describe shingles as but not the intensity. This lasted for about a month. Because it lasted so long I didn't think they were related.
The next year, I got the flu shot and experienced the same pain/sensitivity. It didn't start til several days afterward so I didn't put it together. The 3rd year, I finally realized that it was being caused by the flu shot.
That was the end of me getting the flu shot.
Highly likely you have an allergic reaction to something in the vaccine. Instead of ignoring it, you should speak with a doctor about it because at some point in your life, you will likely be hospitalized for something and an adverse reaction to some medication at the wrong time could be fatal.
I have mentioned it every time they offer but none have been concerned.
Sometimes you have to run it farther up the flag pole. The person administering the shot may not pick up on your concern. The thing to have done would have been to speak to the Dr. about it and if no response find a new Dr. Waving off allergic reactions is dangerous, they can come back with a vengeance. A nurse practitioner almost killed my wife last week. She had hives and the nurse practitioner kept sending her home with higher doses of steroids. She went to the dermatologist and the dermatologist freaked out and said the steroids were simply amplifying the reaction. This is why it is medical "Practice". They are not gods.

That is totally untrue and not how the human immune system works.
Flu shot every year for 20 years, no flu. Go figure. My Brother, gets flu shot, sicker than a dog for weeks. The only thing I can come up with is possibly a violent allergic reaction.

Trying hard on a new record for tissue usage. Currently measured in tissues / minute.
I just can't.... It's too easy.
Maybe change your flag depending on the type of question you are asking??
Not sure if this is a dumb request or not. I would be happy to "Self ID as a Buyer" on the Mangolassi forum. Would their be any advantage to this? I am not even sure I would reach "Buyer" level. Can you add an indicator or flag?

Just got back from seeing Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. It was a fun movie to see with the family.
Thanks for the review, we are seeing that today.
@scottalanmiller Fascinating topic that leads in many directions. So many questions. But, "Mom reading porn", is where I must step off. :face_vomiting:
But seriously, thank you Scott for engaging me in the conversation.

2017 is the big year.... women have passed men in the viewership of porn.
Where did you read that?
Pornhup announced it. They collect the most complete porn related statistics of any company.
I wonder if it is snowflakes "identifying" as women? Pornhub just doesn't want to offend.
While pretty much all porn viewing info is pretty anecdotal, even a behemoth like PornHub has limited ability to collect data; this is not surprising to me or any women that I mentioned it to (which isn't many) and reflects what I've seen in the public space. The idea that women use literary porn has become well known and that they use it at rates that men wouldn't dream of means that there is a trend towards this already. Make it acceptable and accessible for women to access traditional porn without stigma and existing trends can easily lead to them being the obvious, larger consumers of the media.
Excellent point, well thought sir. I have never looked at the data on the "Romance Novel" industry. I do remember going to book stores as a child and taking note that the romance novel section tended to have the greatest number of books. It makes sense that as taboo becomes socially acceptable that the consumer base would trend in that direction.

I remember seeing security cameras discussed at one time. I am looking at IP cameras. Are there any suggestions on where to start. Our building has two Hikvision DS-9632IN-ST hooked up to a Charley Foxtrot of various cameras. This is not my wheelhouse. Could someone point me in a direction of where to get an idea of decent brand of camera? Thanks.
@dustinb3403 Good to know. I just had a pop up that made no sense whatsoever. After some digging it points to github. Thanks
I have been given the task of tracking down a public IP range that the company is paying for to see "If" and "What" it is being used for. I have run through my extent of current knowledge to find if it is active and am coming up with "Not Active"
Ping from LAN side No response
Ping from WAN side No response
Checked firewall ACLs no evidence of Nat
Found single DNS entry on our External DNS provider which has an A record for a sub domain that I have never heard of
Checked our internal DNS for any entries found nothing
So, my take away from this is,
Is there a way to take this to a higher level of investigation, or (most likely) am I missing something fundamental.
Thank you
I need to brush up on my Logic and the art of the Fallacy. There are some great examples in this thread.
@dustinb3403 There are seasons and cycles that play out. Decisions are made months in advance and cannot be avoided. Let it play out, don't get caught up in the emotion.
