The deaf community has a faction that is against restoring hearing, and they won't give cochlear implants to their deaf kids.

RE: Need some suggestions on a new co-op game
If she likes RPGs, then Divinity: Original Sin would be a good choice. It has co-op with an interesting mechanic when you don't agree on which path to choose.

RE: Looking for a Graphics Card
You could spend a little more and get a 960 for around $200. Maybe less if she shops around and waits for a deal. http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales is a good place to look for deals.

RE: Webroot site: Slow to respond
I just tried the console on my machine and it is slower than usual. In fact it timed out after I logged in and I had to login again. Let me investigate further and see what's up.

RE: I Used To Wonder Why Nic Had So Many Games
It becomes an addiction to just collect them, after a while. Speaking of, CS:GO is 50% off today

@Nic O.o You can't even get into your own products? Oh, for shame!
I know right?
I'm chatting with the guy who supports the online console right now. He said there was a memory leak issue earlier that they'd been doing some work on and that seems to have fixed it for some people. I let him know I was still having trouble and he's investigating further.
Ooops!
We appear to have a problem - we will hopefully resolve this soon.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but promise the site will be back up very soon and running better than ever!
Thank you for your patience.

Yep I'm getting that now as well. Guess they're having to taking things offline temporarily while they get it fixed. I'll let you guys know when I hear more.

Ok looks like it's been sorted out finally. I'm able to get in and navigate around my console ok.
If anyone is still not able to get logged in or has any timeouts please let me know. Thanks for being patient while we got this fixed (or at least pretending to be patient ).
While you pretend to get it fixed? (I don't feel bad for picking at you... I am a Webroot customer -- even if only of the home version, lol).
Well I didn't do anything except bug the folks who manage the servers
We still don't have a complete root cause but at least things are working (albeit slowly) in the meantime.
It's nice to have vendors in here that like to play back.
I hope I am eventually in a position to recommend Webroot products again soon!
Hey if we can't have fun then what's the point?
and yeah I understand that sometimes the choice of AV isn't always under one's control, or there are other factors that constrain your choice, no worries!

RE: Considering Becoming a Virtual Assistant, VA or Work from Home
If it isn't part of your core business then I think it's ok to outsource. Similar to janitorial. I might not outsource social media though, personally.

RE: Planning MangoCon
On a serious note, I've found that conferences that have an "unconference" section or session are really valuable. Those are ones where the participants select topics on the spot and break out into small discussion groups.

Great podcast from Radiolab about what it is like to be hit with ransomware

Looks like this topic is getting big enough to make the mainstream now.

RE: Webroot folder in Program Data is ~48GB!!!
Probably a process is getting monitored. It saves a record of all changes when that is happening, in case it need to roll back. Check the processes being watched to see if any are in monitored status.
Yes you can delete the folder and it will get recreated.
