World Autism Awareness Day
Got an email about it being world autism awareness day today (2nd April).
I know that there are a few people with Aspergers Syndrome (on the ASD Spectrum) here, so I thought that I'd say 'Hi' and let you know that people are trying to understand you better instead of writing you off. There was a link in the email with some tips on understanding ASD. For those that are interested, here is the link: http://suelarkey.com.au/media/Key_Tips_for_Understanding_ASD_-_E-Book.pdf
After a quick poke around some Google results,
Talking Tom, the fifth most-downloaded mobile app of all time, will have a blue T-shirt you can download in the app.

RE: Parental Control options: AD, LDAP, piHole, Other
Sounds like a technical solution to a HR problem
Have school work done in a common area.
Monitors visible from/facing walk ways.
Pi-Hole or something similar to filter out nastiness, -

While we're on the subject of suggesting locations, MangoCon Au!
March or November Can't have you lot getting roasted, and if you are going to make it out here you might as well check out the beaches and stuff
Well me need MangoCon LATAM as well then! We can do quarterly ones rotating around the world!
I think we'd have to drop the name MangoCon if that was the case. It'd have to be SAM's Epic Pub Crawl

I just got a call from http://movingamericaforward.tv/
The are looking to do a feature on NTG and ME!! Just cause I am so cool!! Have a meeting tomorrow with the head producer. I will be interviewed by William Shatner , this is kinda cool!
You must make Shatner a minion or it's a wasted interview.

RE: Helpdesk options / Ticketing system for non-IT purpose
We are using Freshservice and have been for several years.
Very happy with it.In fact we've spread it to several other departments.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Waiting for a Steam update. It's only 54MB but it's taking an age of man to download.
The usual 75MB update could have been done at least twice over by now.
Oh well, at least I'm not using a console. -
RE: Random Thread - Anything Goes
Unexpected this is... BUT TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME!

RE: Anyone seen such cabling?
I've not seen anything that bad but I have used analogue/digital splitters (for putting analogue and digital signal down one network point. You then have to split out again at the patch panel)... It makes the comms racks look really messy but it means you don't have to drill holes and pull cables through expensive apartments

Had someone return an iPad today sans charger.
Righto so I'll borrow your car and "lose" the keys... yeah thanks, cupcake. -
RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Fixed a battery operated toy for mini-nadnerB by jamming folder pieces of paper between the batteries and the cover to keep the batteries in place on the contacts. My MacGyver Dad skills have increased slightly.
