Oh good this works again!

Well I am FREAKING over this week: Funeral this morning, my sister in law was in surgery this afternoon (she looks horrific). And tonight Art had a gig down on the lake and there was a hip hop show next door that got shut down by the cops. Then there was a shooting and yes at least one dead, shooter at large, they first told us to sit and stay way from doors and windows. Then 10 minutes later kicked us all out on the street, where they separated the crowd out and there we stood in breezy cold air for 2 hours. Our equipment is scattered between the bar, the loading dock and a vehicle or 2 (they were packing up when this happened) 2 of the band members are being questioned by police to see if they saw something. Another buddy who just finished up his gig at another bar came and got us all and drove us all home (some of us live like an hour south of where this was).

Tomorrow we get to hopefully get our vehicle back once CSI is done investigating all vehicles and the parking lot, and hopefully all equipment is still accounted for.

My week continues to suck the big one. My sister-in-law was attacked this morning in Brooklyn (Park Slope area), on her way to the sub way. Multiple fractures of her jaw, and a severe concussion. They did a number on her she is so swollen from the beating that they can't do surgery till it goes down.

OMG!!

It has been a horrible week for us. And of course my family relying on me in crisis had a heart attack today when they couldn't get ahold of me at all by any means (I was fine just in Delhi NY the cell phone lack of service capital of NY).

Sigh finally back home (on a client site all day for meetings).

LOL yea,.. Just one more... this is new. while typing the screen goes black. I have to press the power button twice to come back and it's at the lock screen. Attached or USB keyboard... doesn't matter.

May have to do with recent updates.. IDK.. I really had thought I could find a solution to the lag issue and keep it. but thus far,.. not happened. drivers, updates, research.. nothing has resolved it. Maybe a burn and eBay time.

why do you think I got rid of it ?

Weren't you guys going to Texas this year?

My mother in law now needs constant care and would not do well with moving. So for now we stay and just take long vacations where it's not cold.

I can't imagine having that not work. I use it constantly (though I have broken I think like 6 pairs of the ear buds).

Sorry not feeling the energy today:
A member of my family (she lived with us a bit, my sisters best friend since they were to so like 30 plus years).
My sister was on the way yesterday to take her to a long term Rehab program she has been in and out Rehabs for like a year, when my sister got to her apartment she had committed suicide over night. Our family is not doing well as you can imagine.

Don't ask.... I just had to ban someone on a Facebook group (I got called a Whore and various other nasty thing). Someone asked a tech question about setting up a server for their new business. They don't need a server but he quoted out a Massive Dell server with SUPER expensive licensing etc. I back tracked the conversation and asked why they thought they needed a server. They need backups(sold them on Back blaze) and a place to store files (dropbox) and a CRM (zoho). Just saved them mega money. He got pissed off that a woman should never give IT advice when they have no clue.....

It doesn't matter what your gender is. If you can do IT, then you're proficient in my book. I'm sure there are plenty of women out there smarter than me in IT. Just blows me away that there are other men that are just narrowminded like this just because you were born a certain gender.

I run into this at least on a weekly basis. We have clients who will try to go around me on all kinds of stuff to talk to one of the guys. It's the nature of being a women in IT (ok honestly it's the nature of being a female in the work world).

Yea, but it shouldn't be so...

I would love to say that it's because of your Marketing background, but unfortunately I see that Snubs sees and says the same thing.

Accept my Background is IT just haven't done actual IT in a long time cause I do marketing now.

So I finally got to play with this on my iPad Pro. I LOVE THIS!!! Multi tasking is a whole lot better than it was. The customizable dock is awesome. The new files app is VERY awesome I have my iCloud, dropbox, google drive and OneDrive all in one place without opening the stupid individual clunky app for each of them. There's also some more stuff for the apple pencil and it works better than it did before. I am really happy with this upgrade.
