When you select the "create new VM" option in XenCenter, look for the RHEL 6 64bit template option.
Why not just use the already existing CentOS 6 template?

XenServer on two Dell R510'sposted in IT Discussion
In the NTG Lab, we've got two Dell 510 Servers (Courtesy of the awesome guys over at X-Byte) running XenServer, linked to a Windows 8.1 Pro machine running XenCenter, all using a Drobo B800i as a SAN. I need to get a VM of CentOS 6 (64 bit if possible) running on one of these machines. How do I go about doing this?

RE: Issue with XenServer Nodeposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller The prompt on the server itself said 192.168.1.11, I wonder why it wasn't doing that on the network end...

Found what the issue was with the Red X.... it was crash dump files for the host.
Click on the server with the right mouse button. There you see "Remove crash dump files.
But you still can't ping it?

@scottalanmiller I'll reboot it again: I did try that.

RE: Issue with XenServer Nodeposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller How do I ping something from it? It's not a command prompt.

RE: Issue with XenServer Nodeposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller Of course
It's on, and plugged in. -
RE: Issue with XenServer Nodeposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller They worked fine, then @art_of_shred played with he network a bunch. No idea what happened. And no, there was no VLAN tampering.

RE: Issue with XenServer Nodeposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller in the server itself right now, yes.

RE: Issue with XenServer Nodeposted in IT Discussion
@PSX_Defector True... I'll get to it if I do. @scottalanmiller This is the same issue we were having last night. It's hooked up, but not working. It displays as being connected, but not properly so. The machine is on, it's at the correct IP, the credentials were entered correctly.

Setup was incredibly simple and smooth, I'm very happy with it. Had a small issue with it not accepting login information for the WebUI, but a very quick email to NetGear and this was fixed almost immediately. It's now fully configured after about 15 minutes of setup, and is working beautifully. The Toshiba 1TB drives it came with are allowing very snappy file retrieval and uploading to the NAS, and file organization has been very simple.

RE: Media NASposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller And extremely reliable from what I've heard. But, back on subject, after little hands on experience with NAS systems, I can say that the ReadyNas that I've only been using for a few hours is already up and working nicely.

@scottalanmiller That article doesn't mention Purple's, hmm...

I prefer diskless and then buy appropriate Western Digital drives. I've used Green and Red in mine, work great.
Someone else who understands how awesome WD Red drives are?

@Dashrender Security is decent, you're able to set individual users with different permissions for access, a host account, a root account, an online account, and a registered NetGear account.

@scottalanmiller Pertino is installed, and LogMeIn is currently running. I'll send you an email with login creds.
