@Hubtech I'm quite impressed with the abilities of the PS4 so far, and they always push consoles to high heights by the end of their life cycles (look at GTA 5 running on 10 year old hardware), so I'm interested to see what becomes of the PS4. And for the next gen, Nvidia looks to be ready to start manufacturing Console SoC setups and such, so the graphical fidelity could hit new high-marks. The whole industry just excites me

RE: PSU suggestions
@scottalanmiller My bad, didn't see this. @nadnerB Looking for a 550W or larger, huh? Well, how important to you are things like Modular Cables, Efficiency, and Fan Noise levels? I would recommend a Corsair, EVGA, or Silverstone PSU, I've had very good experience with all of them (Especially the EVGA, but you tend to have to pay a bit of a price premium for them). I've used Seasonic three times now, and one of them failed after about six months. They get really good reviews generally, and supposedly are very stable and have long lifespans, so I would say I just got an odd case with mine.

RE: PSU suggestions
@nadnerB The efficiency rating, 80+ Bronze, means that it's at least 80% efficient at 100% load. Every PSU I've used from Corsair has been an entirely hassle free and satisfying, and I can highly recommend any of their CM/CX/RM/AX PSU models from experience.

@Minion-Queen Aww, you didn't even mention how kick-butt the rig you're on now is, either,

RE: Preferred Interface Devices?
@MattSpeller I'm a little disappointed in the Red's, I'll probably go Blue next time. And the R.A.T. 7 is fantastic! I've got large hands as well, and it's entirely adjustable. And if you're worried about pinky drag, you can change out the side-piece for one of the included ones, that has a shelf very akin to the one that's attached to the thumb side. Overall, a very comfortable mouse, despite looking angular, as you can adjust it to fit your hand very naturally. And the 8600 DPI sensor, Sniper Button, on the fly DPI changing, sideways scroll wheel, and fully customizable button layout, those just helped to seal the deal for me. The weight system gives you another level of customization, but the frame for the mouse itself is fairly heavy for what it is, so don't expect anything super lightweight.

RE: Minecraft Server is Live!
Should I drop the IP to the server I'm running?

RE: Minecraft Server is Live!
@scottalanmiller Oh, I mean hosting it here. If you want to keep the world, etc. as well, just zip it and send it to me. I've got a lot more processing power here. You /should/ have 512MB of RAM for every player on the server for it to run correctly without massive lag spikes.

RE: Minecraft Server is Live!
@coliver Mods do require more RAM by a bit. If a vanilla server runs fine with 8GB, and say, 10 people, I would recommend 12GB if you're gonna add mods and still have 10 people. @scottalanmiller The typical vanilla server should have 4GB just for running the server itself, and then 512MB for every person on the server, as a minimum for smooth and stable performance.
I know back in 1.3.7, it used to not even boot the server if you had any less than 2GB allotted. -

Well, with an APU, you're not going to be playing anything newer than 2008 on an Oculus Rift or a 1080p display...
The APU was based on your recommendations of it being so powerful for gaming in the other thread.
What? Nooooooooo. It's fantastic for normal workloads, and the Price to Perfromance is fantastic, even for games, but that doesn't make it good.
The Gigabyte Brix PC's are pretty good, but beware, the one with the GTX 760 in it, it is a full desktop GPU, not a mobile version. The heat output is massive, and after it's been on for a bit, the cooling can't keep up, and the card will throttle down to about 60% of it's actual performance. And, it is an actual 760. 870 isn't an actual card, the only version of anything 800 series are the mobile chips.

RE: M2, mSata, Sata stuffs
It's a SATA NANDFlash chip on an M.2 Drive, that's all. An M.2 drive can come in multiple lengths, as long as you get the right size, and plug it in, it should be perfectly fine.

RE: Water Cooler question
If you turn the fans off, it'll die. However, if they're PWM's, you can control them in BIOS. Maybe set the curves for temps to be a bit less aggressive?

What is in your Toolkit?
I'm starting to do onsite work, and I wanted to ask all the pro's here; What tools do you carry onsite, to help you do your job? What are your favorites? Which ones do you use the most?

RE: Morrowind on the Asus ROG
Go into you System Devices and verify that it recognizes the better GPU. Then go get drivers from here; http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us , And then try again. Some older games also have trouble with mobile chips.

RE: Best speakers for School Epson projector
@scottalanmiller You're absolutely correct, but, the problem is with the format and the way it's handled. I believe that some forms of BluRay and Digital Downloads have it hardcoded that the dialogue is supposed to be sent to the center channel, which makes it muddled and kind of sounds like you put a box over the speaker if you remove that center channel, though, there are ways around this.
