Just had a 10th and 11th project put on my plate. Well I guess i'm not going to be bored any time soon.

I think I' still buzzing from last nights drinking. I really need a nap.

Those dates are going to be difficult for me because of Halloween but if I do make it it wouldn't be early.

You could do Green Bay. I worked at an arena and we did all sorts of "flat shows" in our convention center. Its about as big at the main hall in Austin. There is also another venue that caters only to conferences with breakout sessions and has an attached hotel. I can pass on info if you are interested at all. Oh, and it's Wisconsin which makes it really awesome.

I remember everyone... just not their name. Sorry @Dashrender, I need more info to figure out what person you were. What did we talk about? What did we drink together?

Can you ask them to give you a copy of the work order where the tech installed the hardware (clearly stating the serial number of the router) that has your signature on it as accepting the work?

Has anyone been offered a retention bonus and negotiated for more? As some of you may remember, we're "merging" with another bank and they clearly want me to stay on board and i'm ok with staying but they do know that I'm also seeing what's out there. I've had a couple conversations with the new boss and he isn't willing to talk about salary increase even though my commute goes from less than 1 mile to about 50 miles (one way) but he did offer me a retention bonus. The bonus was underwhelming (about 10% of my yearly salary) so I want to negotiate for about triple. is it bad form to negotiate? Should I negotiate now or wait for something in writing and then negotiate?

I'll say that we are 5 months out from the merger date so it is very early and this has all only been verbal but will be in writing over the next few weeks/month. The new boss wants the new team locked in by the first of the year.

I hope that all made sense.

Unfortunately the more I think about it... I think this is me. They essentially already have one of me who is the new bosses right hand man. Bonus just to get through the merger and no salary increase talks. Well f[moderated]!

I used the FAN version of Nagios and had a customized dashboard. If you check out my project on SW it shows a couple of the dashboards I had made but it's so flexible you can do whatever you want with it.

PRTG is great but I never used it past the 100 free sensors. Does it take in the log files for you?
