Sure, I would too. But it's because of the environment that I work in. If I worked in an all Chrome shop, I would totally chose the Pixel 2.

I would also go with the Pixel 2 if I worked in an all Chrome shop. It looks like an awesome Chromebook. I got a chromebox running at my house and I love it.

I'm not sure that they really compete. They share a certain market segment but go after completely different user bases.

I just meant that if I had to choose one or the other I would pick the macbook personally.

I think I would choose the new macbook over this.

Anyone ever use PRTG? I just started using it and it seem to be pretty cool! 🙂

      Thanks for the heads up.

Using a Dev3 instance to build out a Staging system for MangoLassi! ML has gotten so busy, taking thousands of hits an hour, that we really need a staging server for testing changes. We have no slow time anymore and any downtime is thousands of 404s. So we need a more consistent, reliable process. This will let us look into making interface changes and other things that would be disruptive to test. I know... staging is a long time coming but we just haven't been that busy. Now we are really in the big time and need the ability to really test and customize.

Sounds like a record setting month.

    • RE: Time to Get Linux

@thanksajdotcom Some one in the comments mentions

The biggest Linux-related demands right now are for people with experience with Puppet (or Chef), Jenkins, and Amazon Web Services. None of these are hard to learn for an experienced Linux or Unix sysadmin, but unless you have production experience with them, it will be a hard sell to hiring managers, no matter how much Linux or Unix experience you have. Good luck.

Do you think this is true?

@lance There are lot of alternatives of seafile and i guess most ML users are Owncloud fans

I tried owncloud a couple years ago and it was ok. I might have to check it out again to see where it is now.

    • Cloudatcost console

So I won a cloudatcost dev1 server... Honestly I did not take too much time to look into this and hopefully there is a simple fix. While I'm at my server panel I click console and get a popup that says failed to connect to console. I restarted the machine, ran a network test and everything came back as failed.

Anyone ever run into this before?

They've had it for a long time. I've never really liked it though as it makes the tabs to small/hard to click for me. It was added in 2009.

Don't feel too bad, I never knew about it either.
